Tunç Findik

Born in Ankara, Turkiye in 1972, Tunç Fındık is a graduate of Ankara Bilkent University. Tunç is a professional alpinist, state-certified mountain guide, climbing instructor, motivational speaker and writer. 

Tunç is a professional alpinist, rock and ice climber with more than 850 new routes; first winter ascents and first ascents in Turkish mountains and abroad, with a total sum of more than 1000 summits and an uncountable number of short traditional rock climbs and frozen icefalls to his credit. Tunç is the brand ambassador for The North Face and is a member of Grivel climbing team. His 35 years of mountaineering experience took him all around the earth’s major mountain ranges, which include countries such as Nepal, Tibet, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan, Tajikistan, Russian Federation, France, Georgia, Switzerland, Italy, Bulgaria, England, Iran, Argentina, Tanzania and Kenya.

Tunç Fındık has completed the coveted project 14×8000, which entails climbing all the summits above 8000 meter altitude on our planet.  He is the 49th human being and first Turkish citizen to finish this ultimately dangerous and difficult project, with a total sum of 26 expeditions to 8000 meter peaks. He is the first and only Turkish person to summit Mount Everest three times, the highest peak of the world, from different routes as well.
